Breakfast on Pluto at The Metropole Hotel Cork

Movies come to The MET for Cork Costume Trail.

Fans of Liam Neeson, Ruth Negga, Cork’s own Cillian Murphy and the cult movie Breakfast on Pluto will go wild this November. As part of the 65th Cork International Film Festival this November, The Metropole Hotel has been chosen to join this year’s Cork Costume Trail which sees local venues team up with the Festival to showcase cult movie memorabilia to the public.

The trail is an exciting initiative that will allow visitors to experience the magic of filming, set and costume creation in a socially distant way. The Metropole Hotel Cork will showcase costumes from the 2005 comedy-drama film written and directed by Neil Jordan and based on the novel of the same name by Patrick McCabe.

From the 4th – 15th of November, the Cork International Film Festival will be putting together a series of carefully curated events to deliver a blended experience, both in Cork City venues and engaging audiences nationwide. As the only major cultural festival to take place in the region this year we look forward to being part of this wonderful initiative that offers a unique experience to Corkonians and visitors alike.

Visitors coming to see the Costume Trail and installation can enjoy food and drink in our Bar, Restaurant and Tea Room, The MET Cork. Brunch is served every Sunday from 12pm-3pm. Lunch is served from 12.30pm – 5pm and Dinner from 5.30pm – 10pm every day. Afternoon Tea is served from Thursday to Sunday in the tea room, or can be ordered for delivery as a gift, or to enjoy at home.

It’s simply the perfect excuse to enjoy a long-overdue catch-up with friends.

Booking in advance is advised, maximum of six people per party. The Met Cork is observing all government safety protocols and maintaining the highest industry standards. The MET Cork is certified with the Failte Ireland Covid-19 Safety Charter.
