Cork Jazz Festival
The 2020 Guinness Cork Jazz Festival has been postponed for 2020, however, as the home of jazz in Cork, we couldn’t let the weekend go by without a nod to our past, so we’ve partnered with some class Jazz acts to bringing the Festival back to its roots as the Jazz haven of Ireland.
The Jazz Festival was founded on an idea created by Jim Mountjoy, the then Metropole’s marketing manager, way back in 1978. Since then the hotel has hosted many of the greatest names in jazz and has helped the festival to grow from strength to strength. We now welcome over 40,000 visitors to Cork each year to celebrate the festival.
For the October Bank Holiday in Cork, you can enjoy a chilled weekend break filled with soul food, good music, good vibes and a personal (but socially distant!) service at The Metropole Hotel- the home of Jazz in Cork.
