Christmas Markets in Cork
Whether its sipping on mulled wine, feasting on festive food or soaking up the yuletide atmosphere, Cork’s Christmas Markets are the perfect way to bring on the Christmas Spirit.
Cork now has a number of Christmas Markets and events to enjoy. From enjoying Christmas classic movie to trying out the different food stalls, there is something for everyone this festive season in Cork. Here is our guide to some of the Christmas Markets in Cork this year.
Our neighbours at Harley StrEAT have definitely made a splash on the Cork foodie scene, and following on from their success this Summer & Autumn, have created a Festive Food line up to enjoy.
Along side their delicious tacos, Taco Rebel will also be offering up French Toast Roll-Ups, the ultimate festive treat. Served with Nutella, Biscoff Spread, Caramel & more, it is the perfect evening sweet to enjoy as you are strolling through the city and mesmerised by the Christmas lights. Bevs & Brews will also be embracing the Christmas Spirit with their Winter Warmer menu. Along with classic such as Bailey’s hot chocolate and Irish Coffee, they also have a delicious Kinder Hot Chocolate, which is sure to be a favourite throughout the Winter.

Mardyke Christmas Market
This is the first year of the Mardyke Christmas Market and it’s already set to be a must-see spot when visiting Cork for the festive season. Set in Cork Cricket Club, Mardyke Christmas Market is set to bring a fantastic festive atmosphere at one of Cork’s quieter parts of the city. The Mardyke Christmas Market will be filled with food trucks, live music and craft stalls. There will also be a marquee that can seat up to 60 people for you to enjoy your festive food. From Bad Boys BBQ’s delicious burgers, to Celia Yak’s loaded fries to Huck’s Doughnut’s, there will be plenty for everyone to enjoy.

This year, there is even more Christmas Magic at Marina Market. With their usual fantastic food offering, Marina Market will be having some amazing Christmas events. Santa Claus & his elves will be popping by for their ‘Santa in The City Event’ from the 27th of November. Before meeting Santa, you will be brought through a Winter Wonderland filled with lights and snow capped trees. It is the perfect experience for all the family after a day of sampling food form the vendors in the market. Keep and eye on their Instagram for any updates.
As well as this, Marina Market will be hosting a series of Pop-Up Cinemas showing ultimate Christmas classics. Starting from 9th December to 12th December, Marina Market will be transformed into a magical cinema with a big screen and comfy seating with films for everyone. The much loved GLOW Festival will make it’s return this year to light up Cork in stunning Christmas lights. Bishop Lucey Park will be lit up with lights in the theme of ‘The 12 Day of Christmas’, which is the perfect way for you & your family to spend an evening. Grand Parade will also see the return of the 30m Ferris Wheel, which has been a family favourite for years. There will also be plenty of food stalls in operation to enjoy some delicious Winter Warmers.
