Group Executive Chef Trigon Hotels
Alex Petit is Group Executive Chef at Trigon Hotels, overseeing the culinary vision and food strategy for both The Metropole Hotel Cork and Cork International Hotel. With over two decades of international experience, he is recognised for his leadership, innovation, and commitment to sustainable, provenance-led cuisine. Originally from France, Alex trained to Master’s level in Kitchen Management before establishing his career in Ireland, where he has held senior roles across leading four- and five-star properties. Since joining Trigon Hotels in 2022, he has played a pivotal role in shaping a progressive food philosophy, including the launch of the Trigon Hotels Food Charter, a framework that places sustainability, seasonality, and local sourcing at its core. A regular television chef, Alex has appeared on RTÉ Today, where he shares his expertise and passion for modern Irish cuisine with a national audience. He is also an active participant in global culinary initiatives focused on sustainable food systems. Alex is a married father of three and lives in West Cork, where he continues to draw inspiration from the region’s rich natural larder and vibrant food culture.
